Tiller revolutionizes the use of cash registers for stores and restaurants, with a cheaper, more efficient and user-friendly platform on iPad.
This contemporary cash register takes advantage of digital connectivity by offering to customers the options of ordering online and mobile payment. The time-saving commitment also applies to the manager when taking an order or cashing out a client. Additionally, the digital cash register analyzes data to facilitate stock management, accountability, and to reference best-selling items.
In 2016, the founders Josef Bovet, Dimitri Farber, Scott Gordon and Vincent Oliveira raised €4 million at their second fund-raising led by 360 Capital Partners, and various business angels such as Nicolas Sireviol (former American Express France CEO), Damien Guermonnrez (Lemonway) or Thierry Petit (Showroomprive).
As for their clients, Tiller deals with big companies such as Monoprix, Bio c’ Bon or Compagnie des Alpes as well as local businesses, for instance, Dealer de Café. Jean-Baptiste, manager of the Parisian cafe claims to “spend more time with his customers” since using the Tiller cash register.
In January 2017, they expanded their services in Spanish and in Italian following the opening of offices in Barcelona and in Milan. “Today, we count 3,500 customers in 25 countries. We started with 3 employees and today we are 120 working at Tiller” said Dimitri Farber. In the hope of becoming a leader in France, the founders of the cash register and management solution service announced their ambition to expand in the rest of Europe.
